Out Of Africa

Contemporary African art.

Established in April 2011 and located since 2013 in the historic center of Sitges, the unmissable coastal city in the south of Barcelona, the OOA gallery aims to promote contemporary African art among collectors and art lovers from Spain, Europe and beyond.

Through individual and group exhibitions in the gallery, participation in international fairs since 2017, presence on art collectors portals such as Artsy, and collaborations with contemporary art museums, OOA Gallery gives visibility to creativity and contemporary artistic diversity in Africa. Strongly rooted in their respective identities and histories, these established and emerging artists represented by the gallery are distinguished by the freedom of tone and the originality of their visual language. Resolutely focused on modernity, staying very close to African values, these artists affirm that sociocultural differences are a source of wealth. Observers of the world in which they live, these artists take an enlightened and critical look at our society and record history, while participating in the living memory of their cultures and redefining their link with the world.
