OOA Gallery

Contemporary African art.

Opened in April 2011 and located since 2013 in the historic center of Sitges, the not-to-be-missed seaside resort at the south of Barcelona, OOA Gallery aims at promoting contemporary african art among the collectors and art lovers of Spain, Europe and beyond.

Through solo and group exhibitions in the gallery, participation since 2017 in international fairs, presence on art portals for collectors like artsy.net and collaborations with contemporary art museums, OOA GALLERY gives a visibility to the creativity and contemporary artistic diversity in Africa. Strongly rooted in their respective identities and stories, these established or emergent artists represented by the gallery distinguish themselves by the freedom of tone and the originality of their plastic language. Resolutely turned towards modernity, while remaining very attached to the African values, these artists affirm that the sociocultural differences are a source of wealth. Observers of the world they live in, these artists take an enlightened and critical look at our society and record its history, while participating in the living memory of their cultures and redefining their link to the world
