Irene Bou – Ways to hide

We order ourselves, we move and we gesticulate constantly making up our internal processes, hiding what really seduces us and what disturbs us.

Almost every daily action we usually do hides an imposture; we hide behind gestures, behind language, our clothes, behind objects and with objects, with speeches, and with multiple physical postures.

Ways to is an essay on hoax, an exercise on the immutability of masks, on the effects of representation. We exist as we represent ourselves as we exist, as we hide; what we see or believe to perceive in others and in ourselves hardly ever corresponds to the real.
